Singha.

Singha.

Today we leave for Thailand.
There has been no more news from Thailand, so everything will probably be fine.

We start the day with our daily walk through the Mheenpark, we have plenty of time because we don't leave for Schiphol until 4 o'clock.
Packing is going well, we have four suitcases filled when we are done.
And hopefully we haven't forgotten anything, but probably we have.

At four we drive off to Schiphol, Tom finds it strange that someone else is driving our car. As expected the ride goes well, it is busy on the road. We want to be at Schiphol at half past five and we are.
After arrival we eat and drink something at Grand Café Plaza, it tastes reasonable but is expensive, 60 euros for three drinks and three lunch dishes.

Then we go to check in, and there is a very long line in front of the counter of Eva air.
After being instructed by an employee, we and many others go to another line, a line that is much shorter. But that turns out to be the line for people who still have to check in, while the very long line is meant for dropping off luggage; the plane is almost completely full. In the end, we were still able to drop off our luggage and actually we have no time left to do any shopping at Schiphol.
We can, after a considerable walk to the end of the E-pier, board quickly.
Boarding is efficient and the plane leaves with only a few minutes delay.
We sit quite comfortably in Premium Economy seats, with enough legroom and also somewhat wider seats. The food, a late dinner and a breakfast during Thai lunchtime, is above expectations.
And Tom gets Singha beer when he asks for beer, unfortunately only two cans, then there is no more, but it's still nice.

After more than 11 hours, a flight with very little turbulence, we land with a fifteen minute delay at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok. We slept a little on the way, but not enough to rest properly.
We can get off quickly, we sit in the front of the plane.
It turns out that we got off at a pier right in front of passport control, so we don't have to walk much. It's also not that busy, and because Pia has a Thai passport we can go to an even shorter line.
The luggage also arrives quickly, Premium Economy has priority when unloading, and because we dropped off the suitcases late, they are among the first on the belt.
Pia calls Moue, who comes to pick us up, where we meet and there is some confusion, do we meet at exit 2 or on floor 2. After a while we see each other and drive to Moue's house in Lat Krabang.

We are greeted by Focus and Gunn, Moue's children, and by the two studying nieces, Toon and Waan.
Not much has changed, the house is still messy, the driveway is full, and getting the luggage inside is difficult, even though there is a lot of help.

Pia then has a difficult conversation with both nieces, one of them is the problem but let it be clear to the other that we support their studies, and not other activities. And to do it right away, this is also over right away.

And then it turns out that the German washing machine, which we gave as a present a few years ago, in 2022, is broken. The appliance appears to have been under water.

The remaining cat, a white and red tomcat, turns out to be a cuddly, friendly and quite spoiled animal.

We eat something and drink something and we go to bed early, we are quite tired.
